What Poofy hosts

Poofy inboxes are private and receive-only. Their content is only visible to someone holding the inbox's password, or to people who were given a read-only share link. Poofy does not publish mail, and we cannot see which websites you signed up to.

If you believe material made available through Poofy (for example through a share link) infringes your copyright, send a notice as described below.

Filing a takedown notice

Send your notice to our designated agent at [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA notice". It must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
3. Identification of the material you believe is infringing and enough information for us to locate it, such as the full share-link URL or the Poofy email address involved.
4. Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

We will review valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to the material where appropriate, and we may notify the affected user where we have a way to do so.

Counter-notices

If material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal district court (or, if you're outside the United States, any judicial district in which Poofy may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We disable access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright, where we are able to identify them.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you're unsure whether material infringes, please get legal advice before filing.
