Acceptable use policy

Good uses of Poofy

• Signing up for newsletters, downloads, free trials and forums without handing over your real address.
• Receiving one-time verification codes and confirmation links.
• Testing sign-up and email flows for software you build.
• Keeping your personal inbox free of marketing mail and data-breach spam.

Not allowed

You may not use Poofy to:

• Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
• Commit fraud or scams: phishing, impersonating people or organizations, payment fraud, fake reviews, or chargeback abuse.
• Harass, threaten or stalk anyone, or evade a block someone has placed on you.
• Send or coordinate spam, or register accounts in bulk for spam, fake engagement or manipulation.
• Handle illegal content, including any child sexual abuse material. We report such content to the relevant authorities.
• Distribute malware or use inboxes as command-and-control or drop points.
• Infringe intellectual property or other people's rights.
• Attack or overload Poofy: automated mass inbox creation, scraping, load testing, or bypassing rate limits and security controls.
• Access inboxes that aren't yours, or try to guess passwords or share links.
• Probe our security without permission. Found a vulnerability? Please report it to [email protected] instead; we welcome responsible disclosure.

How we enforce this

When we find or are told about a violation, we may, without notice:

• disable the inbox, share links or alert rules involved;
• block the network addresses or domains used;
• preserve relevant records and, where required or appropriate, report to law enforcement.
