About Poofy

Why we built it

Most temp-mail sites make money from ads and attention. Their pages are crowded, inboxes vanish after a few minutes, and nobody explains what happens to the mail. We wanted a temporary inbox you can trust with a verification code, and actually get back to next week.

What makes Poofy different

• Inboxes you can reopen. Every inbox comes with a password. Your browser remembers it, and you can log back in from any device.
• Private by design. No accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers. Remote images in emails are blocked until you allow them, so senders can't see when you open a message.
• Built for codes and links. Poofy spots verification codes and sign-in links automatically, so you can copy them in one click.
• Safe to open. Email HTML is cleaned and shown in a sandbox, attachments are scanned, and risky files are blocked.
• Isolated inboxes. Every inbox is separated from every other at the database level, and message bodies are encrypted at rest.
• Receive-only. Poofy can't send email, so it can't be used to spam anyone.

How we pay for it

Poofy is free to use and has no ads. We may add optional paid features in the future, but the core temporary inbox will stay free.

Using Poofy responsibly

Temporary email is for privacy, not for abuse. Our Acceptable use policy explains what's not allowed, and we respond quickly to abuse reports.
